Personal Reflection
Like a lot of kids, when I was younger I loved writing stories and I still enjoy coming up with and writing about fictional people and places. I've taken a few creative writing classes in high school and at CNU. Writing is one of my minors, so, of course, I'll be taking more writing classes in the future, which I'm looking forward to. In terms of academic writing, I like to think it's one of my stronger skills. I'm a stickler for grammar and I pride myself on always being very clear in my writing voice, but I'd like to improve in showing others how to do the same. While I'm confident in my own writing skills, I'm not the most confident in teaching others. I've never been an official tutor, but I've always been the friend that people would ask for help with on their papers, presentations, and more. In this class, I hope to gain more knowledge about how I can help people more effectively with their writing skills. A goal I'd like to achieve this semester would be to learn how I can become a good teacher to my peers, such as knowing how to clearly answer questions that they may have.
