Blog 10: Class Takeaways

One takeaway from writing centers that I'll remember from this class is how much writing centers can benefit students outside of just improving their writing, such as mental health, learning English, etc. Also, I was surprised at how much research there is to explore how beneficial writing centers can be. A takeaway about writing that'll use in the future is that you can teach it to anyone, but everyone should be taught with a specialized approach because we all learn differently. This will help me when my friends or family ask for help on their writing assignments. I'm proud of my research paper because, although it's not done yet, I'm proud that I was able to find research about my topic and provide my own thoughts. Especially in such a niche topic that many people aren't aware of and that I wouldn't have known existed if I hadn't taken this class.
